John Saavedra
Jan 14, 1953 — Sep 2, 2025
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, the song has ended but the melody lingers on.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John Saavedra, who departed this life on September 2, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on January 14, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, John was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose infectious smile and compassionate spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
John was the beloved husband to Priscilla Marie Saavedra, who preceded him in death along with Delores Saavedra, Joe Martinez, Alex and Annie Cordova, and Louie Ramirez. Together John and Priscilla built a family filled with love and laughter, leaving behind their devoted son, Juan Saavedra, and a legacy of warmth and kindness through their grandchildren, Serenity, Juan Jr, Hanna, and Isaiah Saavedra. He is remembered fondly by his siblings Mike, Anita, and others.
John's career in welding spanned over 30 years, showcasing not just his skill, but his creativity and dedication to his craft. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help others, always making time to lend a hand or share a story. Those fortunate enough to know him remember him as funny, honest, and kind—traits that brought joy and laughter into every gathering.
In his free time, John loved to play guitar and immerse himself in music, creating melodies that resonated deeply with his loved ones. He also found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: tending to his beautiful yard and pond, and engaging in his welding projects, each creation reflecting his vibrant spirit.
John leaves behind a loving extended family, including his niece Virjolean, great niece Anissa, and great nephews Ernesto and David, alongside his great nieces Essah, Analycia and others. Each one carries a cherished memory of the man who never let a dull moment pass by without a smile.
A memorial celebration of John's life will be held in Denver, Colorado, where family and friends are invited to share their fondest memories and honor his lasting impact on their lives.
As we say goodbye to John, we do so knowing that his love, laughter, and unwavering spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
