Josephine Hope Sambrano

Josephine “Josie” Hope Sambrano was born on February 15th, 1937 to Flortina Moreno and Benito Guzman in Boone, Colorado.

She passed on July 2nd, 2024 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Josie is preceeded in her passing by her parents Benito and Flortina Guzman, sister Nellie Martinez and brother Francisco Guzman.

She is survived by her children Mustafa Ahmad (Karen), Gilbert Bachicha and Michelle Sambrano (Michael). She is also survived by her siblings John Guzman, Marie Wilson, Ray Guzman and Virginia Munoz.

She is the grandmother of Ashlie Gates, Tammi Griffis, Kyle Giddings, Hezekiah Sambrano, Josie Sambrano and Julian Sambrano. And the great-grandmother of Zeppelin Herrera, Lydia Gates, Leila Griffis, Daphne Gates and Arlo Giddings.

In honor of Josie, the family has asked in lieu of flowers or donations to the family that any donations go to Intermountain Homecare and Hospice.
