Kristi Yoho

Mar 2, 1984 — Nov 13, 2020

On Friday, November 13, 2020, Kristi Yoho passed away at the age of 36, after a fierce battle with cancer. Kristi was born in California, but, moved to Colorado a few months after and has since called it home. She is survived by her husband of 8 years Ryan Yoho; Mother Andrea Maldonado; Father Louie Romero; Brothers Branden, Phillip and Nico as well as Grandmas/Aunts/Uncles/Cousins/Nephews/Nieces. From a young age Kristi always had cared deeply for her family and friends. Family would always come first for her, some would say she became a beacon for them. She helped raise her younger brothers Phillip and Branden into great men, treating them more as her own children at times. She took this love of helping children and started a career working for the county in child services. Though the job was tough at times it gave her great fulfillment seeing the children she had assisted get adopted or just an increased quality of life, she was always there to help and assist others. She had a strong child like and bubbly personality. Always smiling and laughing and there to give you a hug whenever needed. Her smile was contagious and would always brighten a room. She also was always singing little songs and ditties about anything and everything, especially songs about her dog Panda. These will truly be missed by all. Kristi loved seeing, learning and exploring new places and cultures. She was so determined to see the country she decided to start truck driving around the country. This only lasted a few years but she was able to see and learn so much from that time. She continued the exploring and had been to 49/50 states, always planning new adventures. Along with this exploration she continued to learn new skills with her husband/friend, like Plant identification, Survival Skills, Cooking, Pottery, Welding, Animal Butchery, Glass blowing, Cross stitch and making herbal medicines. She took some of these skills and used them in the garden to make remedies for her family and friends. A hike or a drive to somewhere new were forms of meditation and worship for her. Kristi would not want us to be sad during this time. She didn't like when she made people sad. She would want us to remember her and smile. Smile and laugh at all the great memories she gave us. She will be forever in our hearts and memories. https://mit.zoom.us/j/98165850790 Previous Events Funeral Service NOV 27. 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (MT) Romero Funeral Home ~ Aurora 15150 E Iliff Ave Aurora, CO 80014 Loading map
