Maureen Louise Tena
Jan 6, 1986 — Apr 28, 2022
Maureen Louise Tena was born in Wheat Ridge, CO on January 6, 1986 to Julia Catherine Miranda and Marty Allen Tena.
The youngest of four children, Maureen was always the life of the party and had a bright and shining personality that could light up any room. With her million-dollar smile and contagious laugh, her presence was so warming and undeniable.
Her love of life didn't come to an end with her passing, instead it will be carried on and honored by her family and loved ones. In her last moments, she was surrounded by family and passed away peacefully.
Maureen had two nieces and two nephews that she adored, and was so very proud of. With no children of her own, she treated them as if they were hers. Aunt Maureen was the best, and so were the times spent with her.
She also had a love of music, books, art, and movies, and you could always find her enjoying one of those things. One of her dreams was to be a stand-up comedian. Her quick-wit and sense of humor always served her well and was one of her greatest qualities.
Maureen was a strong advocate for humanitarian and women's rights, and she displayed her passion for them in her daily life. She could enlighten anyone she had a conversation with, and her brilliance was evident in her ability to speak for those who couldn't.
She was an avid animal lover, and she loved being a dog-mom to her dog Sarita. Maureen spent her life chasing her dreams, and lived her life to the fullest.
Maureen is survived by her parents Julia Miranda, Marty Tena and Brenda Tena, brother Gabriel (Jessica) Tena, sisters Isabel (James Terry) Tena, and Jennifer Tena, nieces and nephews Aaliya Rugerio-Tena, Adrian Rugerio-Tena, Dehnal Tena, and Amaia Tena, her grandmother Claudia Gonzales, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved Sarita.
