Maxine Alice Bronson

January 26, 1936 — July 4, 2025

Maxine Alice (Parkerson) Bronson, 89 of Littleton, Colorado passed into eternity the evening of July 4, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living, Greenwood Village. A celebration of life service will take place at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church on August 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., with a service at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.  Born in Horton, Kansas on January 26, 1936, Maxine graduated from Topeka High School. She met her husband, William Lee Bronson at First Baptist Church, Topeka, Kansas and was married January 7, 1954. Serving as a military family in the United States Air Force for 20 years, Maxine was a church accompanist and piano teacher wherever they lived. The family settled in Littleton, Colorado after Bill’s retirement from the USAF. During their time in Littleton, Maxine cared for her invalid grandmother until her death in 1973.  She then pursued a career as a wedding and fashion consultant, working downtown Littleton at the Wedding Belle and Shauna’s Bridal. Maxine enjoyed volunteering and mentoring young people. She was passionate about missions work and outreach ministries. She poured her life into her children and family’s life and cherished adventuring with her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill and son Stephen (Kathleen), she is survived by her daughters Vickie Lea Nollenberger and Lorraine Bronson Cooper (Wayne), seven grandchildren: Shaun, Tyler, Samantha, Melissa (Greg), Christopher (Shannon), Kristen, and Ryan (Chelsea), and seven great-grandchildren: Dean, Cassidy, Elizabeth, Kenneth, Daryl, Anthony and Atreya. Maxine was the last surviving child of Charles Edward Parkerson and Malinda Alice (Davis) Parkerson. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Charles Edward Parkerson, Jr. (Lola), Lois Gertrude Reid (Clarence), Arlone Georgia Husted (Howard), Effie Ione Sutton (John), Flora Viola Parkerson, Keith Walter Parkerson (Jo), and Harvey Wayne Parkerson. Maxine will be remembered for her decorative flair and style, fun-loving spirit and mischievous pranks, and for making every holiday special. She was deeply patriotic and left this world showered by fireworks on one of her favorite holidays.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, The American Bible Society, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Doctors Without Borders, In God We Trust (Dr. Ben Carson) or the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Friends and family are invited to attend services at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church, 10150 East Belleview Avenue, Cherry Creek, CO 80111 on August 15, 2024, at 10:00 A.M.  For more information or to send condolences, please visit the website for Romero Funeral Home and Cremations:
