Mildred Dolores Estrada
Jul 26, 1949 — Jul 23, 2026
Mildred Dolores Estrada, born July 26, 1949, to Manuel and Ernistine Gallegos, in Pueblo, Colorado. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Estrada (LaJhaune), her brother Larry Gallegos, stepson Robert Estrada (Charlotte). Grandsons Alajah Perez and Aliias Perez (Annabelle). She was an amazing Grandmother, Aunt & Tialita to Robbie, Sean, Dominic, Darren, Zach, Joey, Stephanie (Joey Mora Jr.), Jennifer, Larry, Jaya, Leon (Isabela), Joey Luciano Mora, Jenicia, Jaliyah, Crisanto, Lovella & Luvette. God mother to Larry Gallegos and Neola Gallegos.
She is proceded into death by her late husband Robert “Cappie” Estrada, her mother Ernestine, sister Vera, brother David Joseph and countless others. Millie, as we all knew her, was a long time Denver resident. She was a devoted woman of faith. Introducing many of us to Christianity, bringing Christ into our lives. Always speaking to us about salvation.
Millie worked for the Denver Post for 37 years in the Classifieds Department and enjoyed every moment of it. She met many lifelong friends.
Millie enjoyed her time with family and friends. But most of all she enjoyed showering Alajah and Aliias with love. They were her pride and joy. 6 years ago, Millie went into kidney failure and had to go on dialysis. She fought a good fight, but the process took a toll on her precious little body. She was put under hospice care and passed away peacefully in her home on July 23rd, 2026. Even on her death bed, she told us, "Please don’t cry for me, I am going to be okay. Please just promise you will always look out for each other."
Millie’s favorite bible verse was:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
