Nester Edward Sisneros

Nester Edward Sisneros, a devoted husband, father, pompo, great‑grandfather, brother, and friend, entered the presence of the Lord on August 24, 2026. He was born on November 3, 1946, in Antonito, Colorado, to Clemente and Solidea Sisneros, the tenth of twelve children. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Aurora, as well as three brothers and two sisters.

Nester attended public school in Antonito, Colorado, and after completing the 11th grade, he joined the United States Army, where he earned his GED. On September 2, 1967, he was united in holy matrimony to Aurora Atencio, and together they built a beautiful life and raised three children:

• Shawn (Lori Ayala)
• Dawn (Eric Herrera)

Nester was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren—Vince, Ashli, Tristin, Taryn, Phoenix, and Solae—and a cherished great‑grandfather to Gabriel and Masiah.

He served honorably in the Army for three years as a mechanic. After his military service, Nester worked as a foreman for Peterson Concrete for 20 years, later retiring from the printing industry after 25 years of dedicated work.

Nester was an avid bowler and a lifelong Denver Broncos fan who loved gathering with family and friends on game days. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, watching westerns, and—above all—spending time at the casino. His warm spirit, humor, and kindness made him beloved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
