Pablo Marquez

February 5, 1977 — May 23, 2026

On May 23, 2026, the love of our lives, Pablo Alejandro Marquez, surrendered his spirit to Jesus and entered his eternal home.

Pablo was everything to his family. He was the devoted and loving soulmate and husband of 31 years to his wife, Bernadette Marquez, an incredible father to his five children, Anjelica, his firstborn, Anastasia, his beloved “PJ,” his namesake, Pablo Alejandro Marquez II, his beloved daughter-in-law Megan, and his baby Mezyiah, his mother, Maria Marquez, and his Nina Esperanza.

To those who knew him, Pablo was truly one of the greatest of all time. There was not a single person he met who was not drawn to his quiet magnetism. A man of few words, his actions spoke louder than anything he could have said. Everyone blessed enough to know him would tell you that he made a profound and lasting impact on their lives through his strength, loyalty, and presence.

Pablo was a Colorado Native, deeply rooted in his humble beginnings in North Denver, the “Northside.” He was an avid outdoorsman who felt closest to God in nature. Colorado gave him the life he truly loved, where he found peace in hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, off-roading on ATVs and snowmobiles, and time spent working on his cherished property in Twin Lakes, Colorado. The mountains, the fresh air, and the beauty of God’s creation brought him deep peace and joy.

Pablo was an exceptionally hardworking and dedicated man. He approached every responsibility with honor, pride, and conviction. He could not rest until the job was done right. He was deeply proud to be an American and carried himself with a strong sense of integrity, believing in doing what was right and treating others with dignity and respect. His integrity was unwavering, his character admirable, and his dignity unmatched. Pablo was a man whose word was his bond.

A visionary and a true jack of all trades, Pablo possessed an extraordinary ability to build, repair, fabricate, and create. If he did not know how to do something, he would research, learn, and work tirelessly until he mastered it and achieved his vision. He was, without question, one of the smartest people we have ever known, not only intellectually, but socially as well. He was a realist who saw things as they truly were, yet when he allowed himself to dream beyond the black and white, remarkable things happened.

The way Pablo loved was unlike anyone else. He did not use the word “love” lightly because he believed it was sacred. If Pablo loved you, you knew it, not by what he said, but by what he did. He was a loyal friend and a steady presence. He expressed his affection through humor, generosity, and service to others. Those fortunate enough to experience his quick wit and contagious laughter will treasure those memories forever.

Pablo was a natural leader. Whether guiding his family, mentoring friends, supporting coworkers, coaching young athletes, or teaching someone a new skill, he genuinely wanted others to succeed. He led by example and inspired people to become better versions of themselves.Throughout his life, Pablo encountered God in different seasons, but in the fall of 2024, he wholeheartedly declared Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. It brings great comfort and joy to know that he entered his eternal home and was reunited with his beloved brothers, Adrian and Chris, who preceded him in death.

Pablo is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette Marquez, his children, Anjelica, Anastasia, Pablo Alejandro Marquez II, his daughter-in-law Megan, and Mezyiah, his mother, Maria Marquez, his father, Adolfo Hernandez, his father-in-law Dave Archuleta, his siblings Cindy and Louie, Gloria and Mila, his cherished nieces and nephews, Louie, Gloria, Lola, Liviana, Lilah, Lucinda, Lorenzo, Lorena, Amber, Alex, Gilbert, Ezekiel, Alonzo, Adrian, Nautica, Elisabeth, Angel, and Tlaloc, his goddaughter Alexiana, his dearest friends, Chris, Mike, and Ellis, numerous cousins, tias and extended family members and friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.

Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we are forever grateful for the gift of his life. Pablo’s legacy lives on in every lesson he taught, every laugh he shared, every life he touched, and every person who strives to be a little more like him. He was deeply loved, greatly admired, and will be profoundly missed until we join you in paradise.

As we entrust Pablo into the loving arms of his Savior, we find peace in God’s promise of eternal life and rejoice in knowing that he is finally home. We can almost hear the words spoken over him by his Heavenly Father, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Lord,” Matthew 25:23.

Until we meet again, Pablo, we will carry your love in our hearts, honor your legacy through our lives, and thank God for the immeasurable blessing of having known and loved you.
