Pauline Bessie Chavez

Jul 23, 1954 — Jun 29, 2020

Pauline Bessie Chavez July 23, 1954 ~ June 29, 2020 Pauline B. Chavez, a God fearing woman, resident of Commerce City, age 65, died unexpectedly and was taken to heaven on June 29th, 2020. She was reunited with her loving parents, Arthur and Dolores Chavez and Stepfather Joe Lara. She was born on July 23rd in La Junta, Colorado. She lived in Rocky Ford in her early years, before moving to Denver in the 1960's. Pauline was a beloved mother of 8 children. She is survived by, Anthony, Azelia, Leroy, Robert, Lalo, Chente, Ale, and the baby Jaime. She had 2 brothers predeceased, Michael Chavez and Arthur Chavez, and also survived by 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Fred Chavez, Annie Gallegos, Rose Renteria, Gabriel Chavez, Frances Andrade, Raymond Chavez, Angelina (Mona) Chavez, Joey Lara, and David Lara. Pauline also had 21 grandkids and 22 great grandkids. She also was a aunt, great aunt, cousin, and niece. Pauline was a devoted mother and karaoke legend. She was a very competitive singer. She got mad at her daughter Azelia in a competition one time and said, "she's trying to show me out". LOL I love you momma, but Azelia won that day. She was a master with extraordinary talents in the kitchen. We are going to miss her mac-n-cheese she use to make for Thanksgiving. Everything she made was a taste from heaven. From enchiladas, to menudo, posole, caldo, fried eggs with spaghetti, and we can't forget about her green chili. You know what is funny? That when our whole family got together, her dishes would be the first to go. She would laugh when her sisters dishes were hardly touched. I'm sorry aunties, but you are gonna have to take that up with Pauline. Okay, let me stop talking about food. First and foremost, Pauline loved our Father God, church, her kids and family, her father and mother, music, sunsets, lions, novellas, her diva Jenni Rivera, and when her stepfather Joe Lara would play the guitar and sing for our family holiday's. Don't let me forget that she loved to clean. JUST KIDDING! She hated that. She also loved singing for her mother at her grave site and making videos of her little princess Aubrey. Oh, and her selfies. HAHA Just go check out her 5 facebooks. We always asked her why she had so many facebooks and she replied, "I forgot my password", or "somebody hacked me". I can go on forever and ever about everything, but she is probably angry that this obituary took so long to get written. She will be deeply missed by all her familia, friends, and all that knew her precious face and soul.
