Richard Gomez, 47 Richard "Rich, Richie" Gomez, 47, of Metro Denver, Colorado, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at The Medical Center of Aurora. A special thank you to Medical Center of Aurora Staff for their care and support. Also thank you to Romero Family Funeral Home for all the arrangements. Visitation at 5:00PM with Rosary beginning at 6:00PM at Romero Funeral Home 4750 Tejon St, Denver, CO 80211 on Friday, November 3, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Romero Funeral Home 4750 Tejon St, Denver, CO 80211 on Saturday November 4, 2017, 11:00AM-12:00PM, Deacon Ruben Duran will be officiating. There is visitation at 10:00AM for anyone who couldn't make it on Friday Night. Reception shortly following at 1:00PM at Romero's on 15150 E. Illiff Ave, Aurora, CO 80014. Rich was born October 21, 1970 in Las Animas, CO to Manuel Gomez and Gloria Ramirez. He obtained his GED and later gained his certificate for a heavy equipment operator in Utah, then moved back to Colorado and settled in Denver. He excelled in carpentry, hardwood flooring and warehouse management. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, working on cars, playing softball and rocking out to classic rock, all with a warm beer. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his many good friends and creating delicious home cooked meals but most of all he perfected going against the grain. Rich is survived by his three children, Kusondra, Alexandria and Richard Jr., his two grandchildren, Javier and Emilio, and mother of his children, Amy. And also by his mother Gloria, brother Steven and nephew Geremiah and niece Jesvi. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alejandro Sr. & Silveria Ubelez.
