Samantha Whatley & Jahaziel Strode

Nov 15, 1999 — May 30, 2022

With deep regret and the heaviest heart, I am saddened to announce the passing of two beautiful, young souls, Samantha Whatley and Jahaziel "Papa" Strode. Samantha Joleen Whatley was born to Mark Whatley and Diane Trujillo on 11/15/1999. She is survived by her mother, father, siblings, and a multitude of friends and family. Samantha departed this earthly realm and us on Monday 5/30/2022. We will all remember Samantha as a light in this world, a beautiful woman with a heart of gold and a love of shoes, makeup, and her family. She was young and joyful, and as some would say strong willed. She was a fashionista, she was always so put together. Samantha aspired to start her own clothing line. She enjoyed having fun with her family and friends. She loved to travel and loved to make art, makeup included. Most of all, she loved deeply, especially her son who carried many nicknames, Papa, monster, and stinky. He was her entire world and it showed, she was a wonderful mother, A patient care giver, devoted mommy and loving daughter, sister and friend. Samantha was a dedicated Christian. Her time on this Earth was far too short, like lightning on wings, but her reach was giant as she made an impact on many lives. Her spirit, her laughter, her presence will be truly missed. Jahaziel Strode was born to Samantha Whatley and Andrew Strode on 10/18/2019. He was the biggest, most adorable baby, he was animated and full of inquisitiveness. Most knew he didn't speak many words, but he had a loud presence. His joy could be heard and felt throughout any room he occupied . His joyous love and spirit will be deeply missed. We will always remember him for his gorgeous curly hair, infectious smile, And his love of cartoons, cars, and spending time outside. He loved running, jumping and even lying in the grass. Jahaziel especially loved both his Mommy and his Daddy; He had both of them wrapped around his little finger. It is an honor to have known them both, and a true blessing to be loved and to have loved them. Life will never be the same as we once knew it, especially after both of their presence had such a profound impact in all of our lives and There are just no perfect words to describe the devastation and heartbreak this tragedy has afflicted our family with extreme sadness and loss for all those who knew them personally. Although they are not with us physically, we will always carry them in our hearts and throughout the many memories we have shared. I know that they will take care of each other and watch over each and every one of us. This is not goodbye, but see you later. Thank you, Samantha and Jahaziel for our precious times together. You will be greatly missed. Previous Events Viewing JUN 20. 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM (MT) Romero Chapel Denver 4750 Tejon St. Denver, CO 80211 Loading map
