Sandra Dianna Lynn Lucero

Sandra Deanna Lynn Lucero, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Thornton, Colorado, at the age of 68.

Born on September 23, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, Sandra spent her life deeply rooted in her family and community. She was the loving wife of Michael Lucero, and together they built a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Sandra was the proud mother of four children: her late son, Michael Dominic Lucero, and her surviving children, Paul Albert Lucero, Rosita Elizabeth Lucero, and Samuel Manuel Lucero. She was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life.

For over 30 years, Sandra worked as a lunchroom manager for Denver Public Schools. Her work was more than a job—it was an extension of her nurturing heart. She cared for every child who walked through the cafeteria doors as if they were her own.

Sandra found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with her family, crafting, baking, and cooking for everyone who came through her door. She had a gift for making people laugh, and her home was always filled with warmth, good food, and the sound of joy. She also enjoyed watching Denver Broncos games, cheering on her team with passion, and going fishing, finding peace and happiness in the outdoors.

Known for her kind heart, supportive nature, and her unwavering love for those around her, Sandra was truly one of a kind. She was always there—with an open heart, a warm plate, and a comforting word.

A funeral service will be held on September 16, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Romero’s Funeral Home in Denver, Colorado. A reception will follow at the American Legion, located at 42nd and Pecos in Denver.

Sandra's presence, love, and laughter will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her
