Tomas ‘Moss’ Saragosa

1979 – February 14, 2025

Tomas "Moss" Saragosa was born on January 10, 1979, a true miracle from the very start. Born prematurely, so small that his mother, Denise "Pebbles" Saragosa, could fit him in her hand, he defied every expectation and grew into a strong, healthy man—both in stature and in spirit.

A lifelong member of Denver’s E Side, Tomas took great pride in his community. He attended Gilpin, Morey, and Kennedy schools, where he built lifelong friendships. He loved nothing more than riding his bike through the neighborhood, spending time at Mestizo-Curtis Park, and enjoying meals with loved ones at his family’s restaurant, La Casita—a place that held deep meaning for him.

He was reunited in passing with his beloved mother, Denise, and his maternal grandparents, whose love and guidance shaped the incredible person he became. He is survived by his father, Tomas Esquibel. Though his presence will be deeply missed, he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter carried on by his devoted aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends, who cherished every moment spent with him.

Tomas’s story is one of perseverance, love, and unbreakable family bonds. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, in the streets he rode, the park he loved, and the family meals he enjoyed.
