Casen Elethorp
Jul 2, 2008 — Oct 25, 2025
Casen Ernest Elethorp, age 17, passed away on October 25, 2025, in Mountain Home, Idaho. Born on July 2, 2008, in Monroe, Wisconsin, Casen brought light and energy into the world from the very beginning and had a huge personality.
A student at Idaho Virtual Academy, Casen was a bright young man with a deep love for learning and an even deeper passion for life. He was especially proud of earning his first job at McDonald's in Fairhope, Alabama—a milestone that marked his growing independence and strong work ethic. Whether working outdoors with his hands or lending a helping hand to others, Casen found joy in being useful and making a difference.
Casen had a profound love for vintage and classic cars. His enthusiasm for these timeless machines reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. He also cherished time spent outdoors, where he felt most at peace and connected to the world around him.
Those who knew Casen will remember him as larger than life—his big heart, generous spirit, infectious smile and sense of humor left lasting impressions on everyone he met. He had an innate ability to lift others up and was always ready to help anyone in need.
Casen is lovingly remembered by his mother, DeHanna Elethorp; half-sister Ellie Bennett; grandparents Ernie and Sandy Perron; uncle and aunt Eric and Jessica Perron; aunt and uncle Gayla and John Lathrop; uncle and aunt Chris and Lisa Firnges; uncle Jake Firnges; fourteen cousins and close personal friend Maya who shared many special and cherished moments with him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ryan Bennett.
Casen’s memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and compassion. May his spirit continue to inspire those who knew him to live with the same generosity and heart that defined his too-short but impactful life.
A memorial Celebration will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday November 7, 2025 at Rost Funeral Home.
