Eldon Heath, 74, a resident of King Hill, Idaho passed away on June 9, 2026.
Eldon was born on November 23, 1951 in Gooding, Idaho to Viola (Dalton) Heath and Arthur Charles Heath.
As a young man Eldon lived in Kellogg, Glenns Ferry, Boise, and King Hill, Idaho.
Eldon married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Toni A. (Meserole) Heath on October 26,1973. They welcomed their son Brock M. Heath on July 17, 1975, and then their daughter Amanda D. (Heath) Ponton on December 10,1977.
Eldon was a proud member of the operating engineers for almost 50 years. He worked and traveled all over the beautiful state of Idaho. He spent two years over seas in the Philippines working on the San Roque Multi Purpose Project where he was part of constructing one of the tallest earth and rock fill dams in Asia.
Eldon retired in 2013 and spent his days working his land and being with his family.
Eldon loved to make people laugh and had so many jokes on hand for any and all occasions. Eldon never hesitated to help someone in need.
Eldon is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Charles Heath and his brothers, Charlie and Ralph Heath.
He is survived by his wife Toni Heath, his son Brock Heath, granddaughters, Allie and Katelyn Heath, his daughter Amanda (Beau) Ponton, grandsons, Kaden, (Kaydence), Chaz, and Gage Ponton, His mother, Viola Heath, brothers, Alfred and Paul Heath, also numerous Aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Cremation services are under the care and direction of Rost funeral home in Mountain Home, Idaho.
An open memorial will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday July 3rd 2026 at Rost Funeral Home.
