Lavinia C. Blair

Lavinia Christine Blair (née Dawe)

January 3, 1941 – February 19, 2026

Lavinia Christine Blair passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by a loving family in her final days.

Born in Southampton, UK, on January 3, 1941, to Robert James Dawe and Phyllis Lillian Gravett (both predeceased). Lavinia was the beloved sister of Michael, Howard (both predeceased), Mary, Patricia (predeceased), Janice, and Reginald Dawe. She carried vivid childhood memories of WWII bombings and playing in the bombed-out areas of town—experiences that shaped her resilience and deep appreciation for family.

Lavinia immigrated to the United States, first settling in Kansas, then moving to California, Nevada, Mississippi, and finally Idaho. Throughout her journey, she built a life centered on her ferocious love for her children. She was the devoted mother of Lavinia, David (predeceased), Linda, Lorraine, June Satterfield, Vicky and Walter Davies, and Douglas Carson. She cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with her extended family.

Lavinia found joy in simple pleasures: tending her rose gardens, taking long road trips in her big cars, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Her fierce devotion, warmth, and strength touched everyone who knew her.

Lavinia will be sorely missed and forever remembered for the unbreakable love she gave so freely.
