Wanda Busby

Wanda F. Busby passed away peacefully in the early morning of May 30, 2026. She will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met.

Born in Samburg, Tennessee, Wanda’s life journey took her to many places through the years as a military wife alongside her beloved husband, Alvin W. “Buzz” Busby. Eventually, she made her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where Wanda built cherished memories with those she loved most.

Wanda was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and someone who always gave to others before herself. Her warmth, strength, and selfless spirit touched countless lives. She found joy in caring for her family and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.

She is survived by her son, Chris “Buzz” Busby; daughter, Dena L. Perkes; grandchildren, Jeremy S. Hobbs and Aaron L. Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Kooper A. Hobbs and Karter A. Hobbs; along with a host of loving extended family members and dear friends.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin W. “Buzz” Busby, as well as many cherished family members who welcomed her home.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A small family graveside service will be held on June 11, 2026 in Mountain Home.
