Robert Poznick

Jul 18, 1945 — Oct 6, 2026

Robert “Bob” Poznick, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on July 18, 1945, to the late Frank and Stella (Bomal) Poznick.

Bob was born and raised in Lowell and remained there until 1998, when he and his wife, Karen, moved to Plaistow, New Hampshire. They lived in Plaistow until 2025, when they relocated to Arizona.

Bob was the beloved husband of Karen (Millar) Poznick. The couple were married on August 23, 1969, and shared 57 years of marriage. They first met while attending Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill, Massachusetts, where they were both members of the college’s second graduating class.

Bob was a graduate of Keith Academy in Lowell and Northern Essex Community College. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. During his time in the Air Force, Bob and Karen lived in Abilene, Texas, where their daughter Lisa was born.

Following his military service, Bob worked as an HVAC technician at Wang Technologies in Lowell and later at Haartz Corporation in Acton, Massachusetts, from which he retired in 2008.

Bob was naturally mechanically inclined and could fix nearly anything. There was very little he could not figure out. In his later years, if he didn’t know how to do something, he simply researched it on Google and taught himself how to get the job done.

Bob enjoyed traveling and taking many vacations with Karen throughout their years together, especially trips that included visits to casinos. Above all, however, Bob considered being a devoted husband and father to be his greatest accomplishment in life.

In addition to his wife, Karen, Bob is survived by his daughters, Lisa O’Keefe and her husband, Mike, of Twin Mountain, New Hampshire, and Krista Poznick of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Jake Pomerleau of Gorham, Maine; Robert Pomerleau and his wife, Caitlin, of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; Cameron Daley and his wife, Amanda, of Sandy, Utah; Lauren Pomerleau Baker and her husband, Bryan, of Tamworth, New Hampshire; and Brendan Daley of Midland, Utah; and his great-grandson, Beau Baker of Tamworth, New Hampshire.

He is also survived by his brothers, Frederick Poznick of Greenwood, South Carolina, and Stephen Poznick and his wife, Beth, of Ayer, Massachusetts; his sister-in-law, JoAnne Poznick of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Stella Poznick, and his brother, Thomas Poznick.

Bob will be remembered for his mechanical ingenuity, his willingness to learn, his love of travel and adventure, and most of all, for the love and devotion he gave to his wife, children, grandchildren, and family. His greatest legacy will be the family he loved so deeply and the memories they created together.

A private service will be held at a later date.
