Sandra Allen Wagenaar

In June, we lost Sandra Allen Wagenaar, a caring and thoughtful person who always had time for others.

Sandra was born in San Diego, California, and was raised in Bonita, California, with her younger brother, Royce, by her parents, Edwin and Ruth Stafford Allen. She married Jack Wagenaar in 1964.

Sandra began her career as a teacher before discovering a passion for interior design and starting her own business. She served as past president of ASID and PEO and was a longtime member of the First Christian Science Church of San Diego.

In 1993, Sandra and Jack moved to the city of San Diego, where they combined their talents in interior design and architecture to establish Wagenaar Design.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her brother, Royce Allen; and her parents. She is survived by her sons, Brock (Kim Cieslak) and Craig.

Sandra passed away in Phoenix, Arizona, where she had lived for the last six months to be close to her son, Craig, and her loving grandchildren.

Sandra will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever.
