Graham Alan McDonald

Jul 24, 1940 — Sep 4, 2026

Graham Alan McDonald, 86, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026. A retired nuclear engineer, he lived a life defined by curiosity, generosity, and a great love for his family and friends. Known for his caring nature and willingness to help others, he touched the lives of many throughout his long and remarkable life. One of his greatest passions was working on his beloved classic MG cars. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the garage maintaining and restoring them, often side by side with his son, Timothy. He was also an enthusiastic fan of classic Westerns, James Bond, Star Trek, and the Dirty Harry films. Many treasured evenings were spent relaxing in his recliner, enjoying favorite movies and the simple comfort of time shared with family.

He will perhaps be remembered most fondly for his quintessential 'Dad' sense of humor. A true master of the dad joke, he never let the quality of the punchline get in the way of delivering it with enthusiasm. Whether anyone else laughed or not, he certainly did, and his laughter brought joy to those around him.

Graham will be deeply missed by his daughter, Helen; son, Timothy; son-in-law, Eddie; grandsons, Ewan, Benjamin, and James; daughter-in-law, Louise; stepdaughter, Micheline; and the many friends and neighbors who knew and loved him. His family takes comfort in the many memories he leaves behind, and in knowing that his legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
