Roger H. Gustafson
Dec 20, 1976 — Jun 14, 2026
Roger H. Gustafson, 49, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026.
Roger was born on December 20, 1976, in Havre, Montana, to Roger and Gayle Gustafson. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1999 and earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2003. He took great pride in his work as an attorney, first as a medical malpractice litigator and later as general counsel in the healthcare arena. Throughout his career, he was known for his sharp intellect, integrity, and commitment to helping others navigate difficult circumstances.
Roger married his high school sweetheart, Lauren. Together they shared 27 years of marriage and built a family that was the source of his greatest joy and deepest pride. He strived to be a devoted husband and a loving father to his three sons, Evan, Ben, and Carter. Whether playing games, sharing conversations, fishing, golfing, or simply spending time together, Roger treasured every moment with the people he loved.
Roger found happiness in life's simple pleasures: a good read or podcast, a day in or on the water, laughter around the table, and meaningful time with family and friends. He had a gift for making people feel valued and welcomed and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Most importantly, Roger loved Jesus Christ and lived his faith sincerely. He cherished the church family he had found at Mountain Ridge Church in Glendale, Arizona, where he formed meaningful friendships and grew in his walk with the Lord over the past couple of years.
Though his time on earth was far too short, Roger leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and perseverance.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Lauren; his sons, Evan, Ben, and Carter; and his mother, Gayle Gustafson. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger M. Gustafson, and his brother, Jeff Gustafson.
