Donna Jean Schuba

Donna Jean (Adamietz) Schuba, of Oakdale, MN.

Donna Jean Schuba died peacefully in her home with her husband by her side on July 7, 2026.

Donna was born on July 21st, 1955 to Benedict and Lela Adamietz in St. Paul, MN.

She lived and worked in the Twin Cities area her entire life, in spite of hating winter's chill. She worked as a server, and was silently quite proud of the quality of her work, her professionalism, and the relationships she developed with her customers. Many of her customers became friends and followed her from restaurant to restaurant.

One smitten customer James Schuba (Jim) became her husband after a few years of dating. They were married on July 22nd, 2000. She lived the rest of her life loved, safe, secure, and with peace.

Donna was an avid reader, and bingo fanatic. Her claim to fame however was her penchant for decorating her home. With every season or holiday their home transformed into a gift shop like menagerie of trinkets and such that they referred to as 'crap'. She became the loving guardian to her puppy Cubby, and a parrot named Dufas, both of whose hearts she stole from Jim. Together they accumulated a clowder of kitties, and a collection of fish and turtles which she enjoyed sharing in their care.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, her brother David Adamietz, sisters Elaine Soderquist, and Elieen McGuire. She is survived by her husband Jim, her sons Jacob Kincade (Maria), Adam and Jordan Lehmann. Step children Gregory (Chris), Jeffrey, and Angela Schuba (Cliff Tom). Sisters Carol Anderson, Becky Oberle (Rob) and Amy Petterson (Jason). Donna had six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild who called her Nana, and many nieces and nephews. She had special relationships with Lily, Taylor, Zach, Lela, and Josh.
