Glenn David Goetz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn David Goetz, who left this world on November 12, 2025, at the age of 73 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Born on August 28, 1952, in St. Paul, MN, Glenn was a true local, whose life story resonates with family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Glenn was a family man at heart. He was preceded in death by many beloved figures, including his father, Carl Goetz; mother, June Stafford; step-father, Gene Stafford; sister, Vickie (Rod) LaChapelle; and former wife, Carolyn Goetz. He is survived by his loving son, Jason (Melissa) Goetz, and his daughter, Lynne (Mark) Kuhlman. Glenn’s legacy lives on in his grandchildren: Amanda (Cody) Finch, Ryan Kuhlman, Emily (Chase) Petron, Raeann Goetz, Isaac Goetz, and Owen Goetz. He was also the proud great-grandfather to Scarlett Finch. Glenn is further survived by his brother, Vern (Gina) Goetz, and sisters, Gert (Dan) Warner and Karlene (Gerry) Dytko, along with a large circle of family and friends who will all miss him dearly.

In his 37-year career with Metro Transit, Glenn donned many hats (or should we say bus driver’s caps!) as he worked at nearly every bus garage. His dedication and hard work earned him the Outstanding Operator Award seven times—an impressive feat that still echoes in the hearts of those who worked alongside him. Upon retiring, he held the highly respected title of Master Operator, reflecting his commitment to excellence and service.

While his career was noteworthy, Glenn's true essence shone through in his warm personality and infectious laughter. Whether sharing stories or simply enjoying the company of his loved ones, he had a remarkable ability to bring joy to every gathering.

As we reflect on his life, let’s remember the vibrant spirit he was and the love he shared so freely. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring of 2026, where family and friends will gather to honor and cherish the memories of Glenn.

In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in the cherished moments we have shared with Glenn, whose love and laughter will forever linger in our hearts. He may have left us, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
