Jerome Anthony Chouanard

Mar 25, 1936 — Jul 14, 2026

Jerome Anthony Chouanard, Age 90, of North Saint Paul, MN, was called home to his heavenly Savior on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Jerry was born on March 25, 1936, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to Alfred and Regina Chouanard. He graduated from North Saint Paul Senior High School in 1954. Jerry met his future wife Janice (Filipkowski) at the Catholic Youth Center and were married on October 11, 1958 and shared many wonderful years together. Jerry loved the Lord and sought to live his life with faith, humility, and gratitude. His faith was evident in the way he cared for others and the devotion he showed to his family. He deeply loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and considered them among God’s greatest blessings in his life. Jerry was known for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. He had a special way of bringing laughter and joy to those around him, and his warmth made everyone feel welcome and loved. Whether through a helping hand, an encouraging word, or simply his quiet presence, he made a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know him. While he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice; his children Mark (Patricia) Chouanard, and Scott (Shari) Chouanard; his grandchildren, Andrew (Jordan) Chouanard, Natalia (Jeff) Jorgenson, and Hannah Chouanard, Tylor, Rachel, and Alex Chouanard, and Tyler Fleck; and his great-grandchildren, Paisley, Barrett, and Jewel Chouanard, Luca Jorgenson, and Hunter Bermel.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Regina Chouanard; and his brother Maurice; his sisters Evelyn and Grace; and his son Robert John Chouanard.
