Kathleen Ann Schroeder

Jun 24, 1956 — Jul 31, 2026

Kathleen Ann Schroeder was born on June 24th, 1956, in St. Paul, MN. She passed away on July 31st, 2026, at the age of 70 after an almost 2-year battle of cancer. She was married to the love of her life, Jim Schroeder. Together they built a life of loving their family, traveling, and road tripping Route 66. Eventually they fell in love with Lake Havasu City, Arizona where they wintered for several years but ended up buying a house and called that home for several years too.

Family was the heart and soul of her life. She loved spending time with her children (Michelle and Scott), sending you home with some groceries from her “warehouse”, slipping you a $100 bill and coffee dates. Those lunch dates around the kitchen table will never be forgotten either along with shopping and spending time at her mom’s house, especially when her brother, Greg would come over with a Nabisco drop off.

The love for her grandkids (Maddi (Jack), Gwenyth and Scarlett) was beyond measure. They were her greatest gift and her biggest joy. They made her proud every single day. She was also going to be welcoming her first great grandchild (Maddi and Jack) in the coming weeks.

The love for her siblings, nieces and nephews (along with their children) was undeniable. She was everyone’s favorite!!

She loved working retail and being around people brought her much joy. Her hair and nails were always perfect and couldn’t wait to go to those appointments. A clean house, laundry and keeping her shelves well stocked was always a top priority. The love for an immaculate yard was her ultimate favorite and all that came with it. Cutting, trimming and watering the grass along with flowers was always her favorite.

She loved going to car shows on the weekends with Jim and fun dates to nostalgic restaurants. We certainly can’t leave out her love for her dogs and grand dogs. The bond they had with her was so special.

Kathleen was proceeded in death by her parents Harold and Elizabeth Maw, her sister Sharon Rutkowski, brother-in-law Keith Rutkowski, niece Kristy Maw, nephew Jeffrey Rutkowski.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband Jim Schroeder, her daughter Michelle (Wade) Hanson, son Scott (Holly) Malluege. Her grandkids, Maddi (Jack) Munson, Gwenyth Hanson and Scarlett Malluege.

We will miss her every day as we navigate this life without her but will carry her love with us forever. Until we laugh again!!
