Leslie Leroy Fenno Sr.
July 8, 1939 — April 14, 2026
Leslie LeRoy Fenno passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at the age of 86.
He was born on July 8, 1939, in Cohasset, Minnesota. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Della Fenno; his parents, Lester, and Lillian Fenno; and his brother, Jim Fenno.
Leslie and Della were married for nearly 60 years and made their home in North St. Paul, Minnesota. Here they built a life centered on family, hard work, and community. Leslie spent his entire working career as a press operator, a trade he took great pride in. He also served honorably in the United States military for six years, an experience he valued deeply.
In his free time, Leslie enjoyed following Minnesota Wild and Gopher hockey, keeping up with current events, and, most of all, sharing his stories with anyone willing to listen.
Leslie is survived by his daughter, Ann Ryberg (Scott) of Eagan, Minnesota, and his son, Leslie Fenno Jr. of Maplewood, Minnesota. He was a proud grandfather to Rebecca Ryberg and Jonathan Ryberg (Emily Futhey) and great-grandfather to Maddex and Miller Words.
Leslie will be remembered for his work ethic and the stories that continue to be shared by friends and family who knew him best.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, at Sandberg’s Funeral Home in North St. Paul, Minnesota. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
The family thanks the staff of Maplewood Rehabilitation Center and St. Croix Hospice for their care and compassion during Leslie’s final days.
