Mark Anthony Wittern

Wittern, Mark Anthony age 74 of Oakdale MN. Passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2026. Mark was born in Worthington MN and grew up in South St Paul, MN He loved swimming and fishing and water skiing and spent a lot of time at Lake Okoboji, Iowa at his grandparents. He went into the Marines, served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart.

Survived by his loving wife Diane of 33 years. Mother Betty Wittern, Sister Jacci Blum and nieces Nichole & Amanda and nephew Andrew Busse & 2 great nephews John and Dean Busse.

Children Angie (Nowel) Catterall, Adam & Dustin and Magen Wittern. He has 5 Grandchildren Alyssa (Brandon)Karnik, Zachary and Brynn Edmeier, Kurtis and Chase and Ryder Wittern and 3 Great grandchildren Adalynn,Jaxton,& Raelynn Karnik.

Proceeded in death by his Dad Jack and Brothers Michael and Tim. Private family viewing at Sandberg Funeral home on April 14th @ noon.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 4-7 PM at the North Saint Paul American Legion (2678 7th Avenue E. North Saint Paul, MN 55109.

We will miss him dearly but we know he is in God's tender Loving Care.
