John Dyer

John Dyer, 86, of Payette, Idaho, went to be with The Lord on June 22, 2026.

John was born in Knowles, Oklahoma on June 26, 1939 to Arden Dyer and Melvie (Botkin) Dyer. Together, he grew up with siblings Veda, Leona, Edna, James & Mary.

John worked for Blackers Furniture for 37 ½ years. He was a jack of all trades. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a handyman, laying carpet and installing appliances and enjoyed photography. He could fix or repair whatever he put his mind to.

John married Mary Rich on August 10, 1979 and together they celebrated 46 years of marriage. Together they were active in the Gideons and spent several winters in Arizona. He never went anywhere where he didn’t run into someone he didn’t already know.

John is survived by his loving wife Mary, children Kim (Mike) Fitzsimmons, Tim (Debby) Dyer, Jeff (Debbie) Dyer, Holly (Bob) Mobley, Rachelle (Jim) Wilkins, Ranelle (Tyler) Crosby, Radawn Rich and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Leona Harper & sister Mary (Dennis) Cartright. John was preceded in death by his parents, sister Veda Main, brother James Dyer and sister Edna Winchester

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 1st at the River of Life 800 17th Ave N Payette, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideons International https://gideons.org.
