With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Melva Edina Tucker, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who departed this life on November 16, 2025, in Fruitland, Idaho. Born in Cambridge, Idaho, Melva brought joy and kindness to all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on family and community alike.

Melva was a proud graduate of Cambridge High School's class of 1955. She dedicated a significant portion of her life to her career, working for 28 years as a secretary at Ore-Ida before moving on to Twilight Agro Sales until her retirement, where she continued to serve her community and contributed to the economy she cherished.

Known for her kindness, generosity, and consideration for others, Melva was the heart of her family. She is survived be her loving son, Melvin Needs (Nannette), and her daughter, Gladys Bittinger, as well as her brother, Marvin Dotson (Lynda), and sister, Leola Jones (David) as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Her family will forever hold precious memories of her nurturing spirit and the love she freely gave. 

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, located at 112 North 9th Street, Payette, Idaho 83661. A graveside service will follow on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Cambridge Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to honor her life and legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to express their condolences to consider making a donation to the Fruitland Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 309, Fruitland, ID 83619, as a reflection of Melva's deep faith and commitment to her community. Melva Edina Tucker will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the love she bestowed upon her family and friends will resonate within all who had the honor to know her.

The family would like to thank the staff at Edgewood Assisted Living for their loving care of Mom.
