Scott Allen Savage
Sep 15, 1981 — Sep 21, 2026
Scott Allen Savage
Scott Allen Savage was born on September 15, 1981, at Holy Rosary Hospital in Ontario, Oregon, to Cynthia Griffin and Kirk Savage. He was raised in Payette, Idaho, where he made many memories and friendships that remained a part of his life.
Scott passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 21, 2026, from natural causes.
Scott worked at Ore-Ida in Ontario from 2009 until 2026. During his many years there, he worked in several areas throughout the plant and became known for his mechanical ability and willingness to learn. He was naturally mechanically inclined and enjoyed learning new techniques and figuring out how things worked.
In 2009, Scott met Andrea Ayers while they were both working at Ore-Ida. Their relationship grew into a loving partnership, and they were married on September 24, 2011. Nearly 15 years of marriage brought them countless memories together. Scott and Andrea shared a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, and, perhaps most of all, simply being together.
Scott had a curious mind and loved exploring museums. He enjoyed ham radio and the opportunity it gave him to learn, connect, and explore a world of new interests. He also had a lifelong love of learning, especially when it came to mechanics and understanding how things worked.
One of Scott’s greatest soft spots was for cats. Throughout his life, several special cats held a place in his heart, with Theodore being his most recent beloved companion.
Scott will be dearly missed by his wife, Andrea; his father, Kirk; his sister, Brandy; his brother, Kyle; and numerous other family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Scott will be cremated, and private family services may be held at a later date.
In memory of Scott, donations may be made to the Ontario Feral Cat Project, a cause that reflects his love for cats. Donations may also be made directly to Andrea to assist with funeral expenses.
Scott will be remembered for his humor, his curiosity, his mechanical mind, his love of learning, and the joy he found in the people, animals, and experiences that mattered most to him. Most of all, he will be remembered by Andrea for the life they built together and for all the laughter, adventures, and ordinary moments they shared.
