Gail Mary St. George

Sep 14, 1957 — Jul 7, 2026

Gail Mary St. George, 68, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side in Savannah, Georgia.

Born on September 14, 1957, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Gail was the beloved daughter of Ernestine Fiorini and Ronald Cloutier and the cherished sister of Gary Cloutier. She was raised in West Springfield, where she graduated from West Springfield High School in 1975 before earning her associate degree from Holyoke Community College in 1977.

On September 9, 1983, Gail married the love of her life, Marc St. George. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love and family, raising three children: Jenna, Derek, and Hayley. Gail was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother to Zoey, Aydria, and Bradley. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by her endless love, kindness, and encouragement.

Gail enjoyed a successful career as an Executive Assistant and later worked with a Bill Gates funded grant program at Holyoke Community College. Although she valued her career, she chose to retire to devote herself to raising her children, a decision that reflected the priorities that guided her life. Her family was always her greatest accomplishment. In retirement, Gail and Marc fulfilled their dream of moving to South Carolina. They first made their home in Summerville before settling in Latitude Margaritaville in Hardeeville, where they enjoyed an active community and formed many treasured friendships. Gail found happiness in life's simple pleasures.

She loved crafting, sewing, knitting, and reading, and she was always creating something special for those she loved. She also had a passion for travel and cherished the opportunity to explore new places. One of the highlights of her life was a trip to Italy, where she was able to visit the homeland of her mother's family and experience her family's heritage firsthand. Those who knew Gail will remember her gentle spirit, warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She had a quiet strength that brought comfort to others and a caring nature that made everyone feel welcome. Her love, compassion, and grace will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Gail is survived by her loving husband of nearly 43 years, Marc St. George; her children, Jenna; Derek and his wife, Kellie; and Hayley; her cherished grandchildren, Zoey, Aydria, and Bradley; her brother, Gary Cloutier, and his wife, Liz; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Gail's life will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in West Springfield, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the life of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Gail's memory to the American Cancer Society.
