His greatest joy was the people he loved.

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and dear friend.

His greatest joy was the people he loved. He treasured his wife, Paula Capobianco, his beloved partner and best friend. Their life together was filled with love, laughter, loyalty, and countless memories.

His daughter, Gira Capobianco, was his greatest pride and joy. He loved her fiercely and unconditionally and was so proud of the woman she became. The love, lessons, and memories he gave her will remain in her heart forever.

He had a special place in his heart for his sister, Virginia, and his brothers, Louis and Freddy, and his nieces and nephews. He loved sharing stories, laughter, and good times with them. The bond they shared and the memories they created together will never fade.

He loved his Corvettes, the freedom of the open road, and taking the long way home. He embraced the Jimmy Buffett lifestyle—sunshine, good music, good stories, and enjoying every moment with the people he loved. He believed life was meant to be lived, not rushed.

Paula will miss her husband and best friend. Gira will miss her father, protector, and lifelong source of love. Virginia, Louis, and Freddy will miss their brother, his laughter, stories, kindness, and the happiness he brought into their lives.

And now, our love, you can rest. We hope you know how deeply you were loved and how much you meant to all of us. We will miss your smile, your laughter, your hugs, and all the little things that made you who you were.

Paula, Gira, Virginia, Louis, and Freddy will carry you in their hearts forever. Until we meet again, keep the music playing, take that beautiful Corvette for one more ride, find your little piece of paradise, and save us a place beside you.

We love you. We miss you. We always will.

A Celebration of Life will be held in New York at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his life, share memories, and celebrate the love and joy he brought to so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in his memory to the Amyloidosis Research Consortium at www.srci.org, helping support research and hope for others affected by this disease.
