Robert Parker
Feb 22, 1948 — Apr 4, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Parker, who departed this life on April 4, 2026, in Okatie, South Carolina, at the age of 78. Bob lived a life rich in love, family, and cherished memories. Bob was a devoted husband to Clarene Parker, and together they shared 37 years of marriage until her passing in 2017. He is survived by his beloved family, including his children: Dayna Vaclav, Robert Vaclav (spouse) Kimberly Mishloney, David Mishloney (spouse), Colleen Jones, Anthony Parker, and Jeffrey Parker. He was also a proud and cherished grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Robert Parker, Vivian Vaclav, Evelyn Vaclav, Olivia Carter, Samuel Mishloney, and Lillian Mishloney. Bob is additionally survived by his niece, Lisa Parker Hoover. He was blessed with many close, lifelong friendships that meant the world to him.
Bob dedicated 35 years of his career to United Lighting Standards in Warren, Michigan, and honorably served in the U.S. Airforce for six years. A man of many talents, Bob found joy in singing and golf, both of which were his lifelong passions. His beautiful baritone voice filled the halls of the church choir, where he shared his gift of music with others. He was a great golfer here on earth, and we like to think he’s now playing the most beautiful course in heaven—where every drive is straight and every putt somehow finds the hole.
While we grieve his loss, we take solace in the memories we share. Bob's kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by his family and all who encountered him. Services to celebrate Bob's life will take place in Michigan this summer, with details to be announced later. For those wishing to express their condolences or to receive further information about the service, please contact Dayna Vaclav at [email protected] .
As it is written in John 14:2-3: “My Father’s house has many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you… I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” We take peace in knowing he has been welcomed home.
