Carl Frank Cassick
Mar 18, 1953 — Dec 5, 2025
Carl Frank Cassick of Summerville, South Carolina. March 18, 1953 - December 5, 2025. He was a loving husband, supportive father, joyous grandfather, brother and uncle. He was passionate, forgiving and funny, he had the greatest smile ever and shared it with anyone he came in contact with. He was a hardworking man and was selfless in his actions.
He was raised in Falmouth, Massachusetts and was predeceased by his Parents: Newcomb Carl and Paulina Veronica Cassick and his sister: Caryn L. (Cassick) McKee. He attended Lawrence High School. He worked as a Plant Manager at Acme Precast Company from 1980 - 2001 until he moved to Summerville, South Carolina. There his passion for interacting with people led him to work at The Home Depot and Lowe's. He fully retired in 2018 from SAIC.
He and his wife, Melinda Luanne Cassick were married for 42 years and his love for the warmth of the sun led them to South Carolina.
He is survived by his wife, children: Travis Kyle Cassick and Jessica Lynn Means (Ben), Granddaughter: Reagan Fisher Means, Siblings: Candace Hazelton-Osimo (Dennis) and Christy Macaulay, Nieces and Nephews: Lisa (McKee) Stone (Walt), Ronnie Hazelton, Jr., Tara Valley-Gualiano (Brian), Caleb Macaulay (Jessica) and Casey (Macaulay) Koomler and his Beloved Dog: Jack.
Carl was often found sitting outside in the sun, gardening, on Sundays watching and talking about football and having conversations with others, especially his family. Carl was well known for being a self proclaimed weather man and was right almost all the time. We could not have asked for a better husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be greatly missed. Carl's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
A Memorial Service is planned for January 13, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, 281 Treeland Drive Suite C, Ladson, South Carolina.
The family also plans to hold a Memorial Service at Saint Barnabas's Church in the spring to welcome family and friends from his hometown in Falmouth, Massachusetts.
