Cecil Wayne Skipworth

Cecil Wayne Skipworth age 76 of Goose Creek SC passed away September 12, 2026 at the Veterans Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro, SC.

Cecil was born September 3, 1950 in Pine Bluff, AR to Edna Jenkins Skipworth and OC Skipworth. He loves baseball and played on several teams. He joined the Navy in 1971 and lived in several European countries. His last duty station was at NATO in Italy. He retired CPO in 1991.

Cecil is survived by his wife Vivian Boyle Skipworth, brother Sonny Skipworth AR and sister Shirley Echternacht CA. Daughters Stephanie Bow TX, Rhonda Dixon AR, Jennifer Will IN and Sabrina Skipworth IN, and 9 grandchildren. Step-daughters Lynn Manning CA and Kellie Bumgarner SC, 4 step-grandchildren.

Preceded in death are parents, sister, Joanne and brothers, David and Gary Don.

Cecil loved to party and frequently visited Geno’s, Fleet Reserve, American Legion and VFW. He was a Mason, Shiner, 40/8 and did community service.

The Veterans Victory House had a Celebration of Life as he exited the facility. There will be no service. Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services was in-trusted with his remains.

In lieu of flowers donations to Veterans Victory House or research for dementia will be greatly appreciated.

He will be missed by many.
