Christie Jordan

Christie Wood Jordan, 65, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026.

Born and raised on Folly Beach, Christie carried a lifelong love for the beach, sunshine, and her hometown of Charleston, SC. She was happiest near the water, whether she was fishing, crabbing, enjoying the warmth of the sun, or working on her famously beautiful tan. You could often find her at Breach Inlet soaking up the sun.

Christie was creative and had a wonderful eye for decorating and finding the most exquisite turquoise jewelry. She was also an exceptional chef and caterer who enjoyed preparing meals and bringing people together. She was known for her storytelling, and those stories will be remembered fondly and reminisced about for years to come.

Christie was strong, loyal, and protective of the people she loved. When Christie was in your corner, you knew you were cared for and supported. She never hesitated to stand up for those who mattered to her.

Christie was preceded in death by her mother, Martha; her sister, Diane; and her beloved husband, Jimmie.

She is survived by her sister, Sandra Schwarz Holland; her niece, Shelly (Matt); and her nephews, John and Aaron (Rene); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Bailey, Dominic, Noah, Suzie, and Sam; and her best friend, Mrs. Gene Limehouse, whom she loved dearly.

She is also survived by her stepchildren, Jeff (Jackie); Jennifer (Sam); Jessica (Jay); and Judi (Bryan); her grandchildren, Kaiti (Dennis); Jordan (Kaylee); Jameson (Rochell); Jared (Beth); Jayson (Allie); Boston (Olivia); Juliet; and Cooper; and her great-grandson, Wyatt Judah, all of whom she loved and cared for as her own.

Christie will be remembered for her strength, creativity, loyalty, and love for her family, friends, and Charleston.

The family will have a private memorial.
