Cindy Baldwin

May 3, 1944 — June 7, 2026

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy Baldwin, age 82, who peacefully departed this life on June 7 with her husband, Rod, by her side.

Born and raised on beautiful Edisto Island in South Carolina, Cindy cherished her Lowcountry roots throughout her life. One story that perfectly captured Cindy’s love for her roots occurred while she and Rod were enjoying a dream vacation on Hawaii Beach. Standing together, Cindy looked around and said, “This is nice, but it ain’t Edisto.” Those simple words reflected the deep love she carried throughout her life for the island she called home. The friendships she formed during her childhood and high school years remained among her greatest treasures. A proud graduate of St. Paul’s High School, she maintained close relationships with her classmates for decades and looked forward to their quarterly lunches where laughter, memories, and lifelong bonds were celebrated.

Following high school, Cindy earned her Associate Degree from the University of South Carolina. She carried a lifelong love of learning and an appreciation for the many people whose lives she touched along the way.

Above all else, Cindy was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose kindness and generosity knew no bounds. She shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with Rod, building a life centered on love, family, friendship and her devoted faith in the Catholic Church.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Azulah and her sisters, Alma and Lynn. She is survived by her husband of 61 years; her son, Jim Baldwin; her daughter, Allison Mohl; her sister, Ruth Baldwin and her six cherished grandchildren: Ashley, Addison, Riley, Reagan, Hailey, and Tyler. They brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life. She also leaves behind countless friends and family whose lives were enriched by her warmth, compassion, and unwavering support.

Her legacy lives on through the family she adored, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless memories she created. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held on June 15 at 11 am at
