Donald s Fitzgerald, Jr.

Donald S. Fitzgerald Jr., 72, of Goose Creek, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026.

Donald was born on December 9, 1953, in Maryland. He was a man who will be remembered for his hard work, generosity, and countless acts of kindness. Donald loved golfing, fishing, and cheering on the Gamecocks. He found joy in the simple things in life and took great pride in the people he loved.

Above all, Donald was a loving father and grandfather. He took great pride in his family and cherished the time he spent with them. His love, guidance, humor, and kindness will forever be a part of the lives of those who knew him.

Donald leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Zachary (Kate) and Matthew (Amanda); his cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie, Olivia, and William; his brother, Francis (Maria); and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sharon; his father, Donald Sr; and his mother, Ruth.

Though Donald is no longer with us, the love, memories, lessons, and laughter he gave us will remain in our hearts forever. His memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.

A memorial service for Donald will be held at Simplicity, located at 281 Treeland Drive, Ladson, SC 29456, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
