Donald Alan Jackson

Donald A. Jackson, 67, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at his home, following a long illness.

Born on May 15, 1958, in Youngstown, Ohio, Donald was the son of the late Sallie A. (Jackson) Winkleman.  He was a proud graduate of North High School in Youngstown, Ohio.

Donald honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and later retired after his years of dedicated service.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joanna Jackson; his son, Marten Jackson; and his cherished grandson, Lennox Jackson.  He also leaves behind his sisters, Kathy (Robert) Martini and Veronica (Tom) Hoff, along with a nephew and niece.

A memorial service will be held on April 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Joint Base Charleston Chapel in Charleston, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the ALS Association in Donald’s memory.
