Jimmy "Jim" Dale Arnold

Jimmy “Jim” Dale Arnold, 78, of Goose Creek, SC, beloved husband of his wife Sharon Arnold entered eternal rest on August 21.

Jim was born May 20, 1948 in Gorman, Texas. He met Sharon in high school in Plano, Texas. They’ve been married for 57 years and have enjoyed many adventures together. He was in the Air Force from 1967-1971 and proud of his service.

Jim was an avid fisherman and earned many bass fishing trophies; and he loved to tinker and customize cars, including a ’29 Ford hot rod, of which he also displayed trophies from various car shows. He worked hard to keep his yard looking beautiful every day and loved being outside, and was even awarded yard of the month. Jim was famous for hosting fish fries and BBQs and feeding his friends - no one came away hungry.

Jim enjoyed meeting with his many car friends and his prayer breakfast group. He was proud of his two sons – Jeffrey (with Holly), Scott (with Mary) and his two grandsons Nathaniel and Jacob. He will be missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to charlestonanimalsociety.org.
