Lawrence "Dee" Davis

Lawrence Bee Davis, affectionately known as “Dee,” age 87, of Ridgway, Illinois, passed away on September 2, 2026.

Dee was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dora Davis; his daughter, Becky Ulmer; and his grandson, Jeremy Davis.

He is survived by his son, Bill Davis; his grandchildren, Jarrett Ulmer; Seth Davis (Harriette); Aimee Thurber (Zach); and Charlee Crowley (Austin); along with his great-grandchildren, niece, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will forever cherish his memory.

Dee proudly served in the United States Air Force and later worked as a Nuclear Instructor. His service, dedication, and strong work ethic were an important part of the life he built and the legacy he leaves behind.

Outside of his career, Dee found joy in the simple adventures of life. He loved traveling in his motor home and spending time searching for treasures at flea markets and garage sales. He had a knack for finding the unexpected and always enjoyed the excitement of seeing what deals he may find.

To his family, Dee was a beloved grandfather, father, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered for the stories he shared, the memories he created, and the unique personality that made him simply “Dee.” His love for his family and the life he lived will continue to be remembered by the generations who knew him.

Though his absence will be deeply felt, the memories of Dee will remain-in family stories, in the treasures he found, in the miles traveled in his motor home, and in the hearts of everyone who loved him.

Rest peacefully, Dee. You will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, 1553 Dawson Branch Road, Summerville, SC 29483, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday October 9, 2026.
