Linda J August
Apr 25, 1946 — Sep 5, 2026
Linda J. August, age 80, went home to be with her Lord on September 5, 2026. Born on April 25, 1946, Linda was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, where she lived for 60 years before spending the last 20 wonderful years in Summerville, surrounded by her family. Throughout her life, she embodied deep faith, boundless generosity, and a radiant love that followed her wherever she went.
A lifelong, devoted member of East Park Baptist Church in Greenville, Linda’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a wonderfully giving and loving lady who possessed a rare gift for bringing happiness, comfort, and joy to everyone she met. Whether she was gathering with friends or spending precious time with her family, her presence was a constant light. She especially loved all things Christmas, bringing a childlike wonder and warmth to the holiday season year after year.
In her later years, her greatest joy came from her family, cherishing every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who adored her deeply.
Linda is predeceased by her beloved mother, Catherine Smith, and her husband, Rick August.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children: her son, Tommy Richards, and her daughter, Tonya Stuart.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Chad and Mayra Murphy, Kyia and Steven Holley, Devin and Dora Murphy, Zachary Richards, Brittany Hatley, Cheyenne Needham, Kenna Needham, and Kenzie Needham.
Her legacy continues through her adored great-grandchildren: Chad, Dalia, Aiden, Mateo, Rogan, Billy, Jackson, and Damon.
Linda fought the good fight, finished her race, and has now entered into her rest in the presence of her Lord and Savior, free from pain and wrapped in perfect peace.
