Louis Cantelmo

Louis Cantelmo will be remembered for his Brooklyn pride, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family.

Born on February 28, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York, Louis was the son of Anthony Cantelmo and Annette Tufano. Louis was proud to be from Brooklyn, New York, where he was born and raised. As a young man, he played minor league baseball and later proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Louis went on to build a successful career in the logistics industry, owning and operating several businesses throughout his life.

In 2014, Louis and Ann Marie retired to South Carolina, where he was able to pursue his passion for golf. Early in retirement, he played every day except Sundays. At 78 years old, just two years before becoming ill, he was still playing 18 holes five days a week. He was also a member of various clubs and an active member of the Del Webb at Cane Bay community.

Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Marie; his sister, JoAnn; his daughter, Patti-Ann, and her husband, Tom, and their children Christian, Donna, and Thomas; his son, Louis, and wife, Stacy, and their children Alyssa and Jonathan; his son, Douglas, and wife, Michelle, and their children Carter and Olivia; and his daughter, Lauren, and husband, Jason, and their children Abby and Michael.

A Mass will be held at Saint John the Beloved Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life immediately following at King's Pizza in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.

Louis's legacy of hard work, dedication to family, and love for life will be remembered by all who knew him.
