Pamela Prescott Pahl

August 28, 1931 — May 17, 2026

Pamela H. Prescott Pahl passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 94. Pam was born on August 28, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Wilma Watson and Robert J. Prescott (Bob), where the family lived on Lake Erie. “Aunt Millie” Sears helped raise Pam during her childhood. Robert later married Elizabeth Phelps, and together they raised Pam on Long Island, New York. After attending the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School, a premier and renowned institution known for its polished graduates who famously wore white gloves, Pam worked in New York City in radio and television.

Pam was a fun-loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who remembered everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries. She loved to dance, loved the beach, and especially loved swimming in the ocean with her family. She often brought loved ones together for trips, cruises, and family reunions.

Pam met her future husband, Charles Emil Pahl, at Babylon High School, and they married in 1950. They shared 65 happy years together and raised four children before Charlie’s passing in 2015. They made their homes in West Babylon, West Islip on Long Island, Latham, NY and later in Holden Beach, NC. Their close-knit circle of friends and neighbors raised their children side by side, and several of those friendships continue through the next generation.

Pam leaves behind her daughter and three sons: Melinda & John, Chuck & Pat, Scott & Carmen, and Bryan & Lynn; grandchildren Nancy (Mike), Chaz (Lacey), Charlie, Scott Jr. (Anna), Crissy (Jorge), Bryan Jr. (Jessie), and Austin (Saiyma); as well as many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Rob (Joan) Prescott and loving nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Pam’s wishes, no formal services will be held. She felt truly blessed by her family and wished for all of us to recognize the importance of paying respect to loved ones, remembering the good times shared together and welcoming those you love.
