Shawna Turner Grigg
Oct 30, 1981 — Jun 23, 2026
Shawna Turner Grigg was born in Shelby, NC on October 30, 1981 by her parents, Kirby “Steve” Turner and Karon Hughes Turner. She graduated from Burns High School with honors in 2000 and then went to college at UNCA Asheville and earned her Bachelors in English. Shawna always wanted to be a mother and through God’s grace and healing, she became a wonderful mother of 2 boys! Shawna returned to the work force to help with additional family needs and worked at GRR as a chemist in the lab. Shawna was in the process of writing a book from personal experience of God’s grace and healing power, which will be continued in the coming year.
Throughout her life, Shawna was known for her smile, her positive encouraging attitude, her unshakable Faith towards God, her compassionate caring soul, a woman of many talents that could do anything and would volunteer for anything that would give glory to our Father in Heaven even if it meant losing sleep. Shawna is an exceptionally loving wife and an amazing mother with a grateful nature and had intelligence to tackle any challenge, especially for her children. Shawna enjoyed her Church and loved spending time in the garden growing and planting and teaching her boys and others about the joys of watching God grow something from nothing. Shawna loved spending time with her family and cooking amazing meals. Shawna also loved to read and study God’s Word and find small truths and scriptures to speak over her family and friends. Shawna loved encouraging others in however she could and celebrated even the smallest victories with everyone. Shawna never forced anyone to change, but always reminded us of the example that Christ set for us. Shawna always said to live in the now and don’t plan too far ahead because God will make a believer of you.
Shawna is survived by her husband Andrew Grigg, 2 sons, Asher Steven Grigg and Silas Daniel Grigg and mother and father, Kirby “Steve” and Karon Turner.
