Theresa Lynn Brobisky

May 15, 1962 — Oct 2, 2026

Theresa Lynn Brobisky, 64, of Ladson, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished friendships and a family she loved with all her heart.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Theresa was the daughter of Rosco Clyde Brobisky and Nellie T. Bishop Brobisky and graduated from Goose Creek High School in 1980. Softball was one of the great passions of her life. An exceptional player throughout her youth, she found both joy and lifelong friendship on the field, later sharing her love of the game through coaching before losing her sight.

Theresa loved country music, days at the beach, fishing, and time spent working on cars alongside her dad. With a fiery spirit and a tender heart, she brought both strength and warmth to the lives of those who knew her. She was deeply thoughtful, generous with her affection, and always eager to remind the people she loved that they mattered.

After losing her sight, Theresa kept those connections close through Facebook, using software that read the computer screen aloud to her. Wishing everyone she knew a happy birthday became a personal mission, and she often went far beyond a simple greeting, composing long, beautifully written messages filled with love. Through those words, she made sure friends and family knew they were remembered, appreciated, and held close to her heart.

At the center of Theresa’s world was her daughter, Alexandria, her greatest pride and joy. Her devotion to Alexandria was woven into the life she lived and the love she gave, and her family and friendships meant everything to her. She also held a special place in her heart for her many relatives in Newfoundland, Canada—her happy place, made all the more meaningful by the family she cherished there.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, William Brobisky. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Alexandria MacPherson, and son-in-law, Alexander MacPherson; her lifelong friend and devoted caregiver, Dottie Harmon, and Dottie’s wife, Shanna Spruil, with whom she also shared a close bond; and many cherished relatives and friends.

To remember Theresa is to remember a woman who loved wholeheartedly and took the time to show it. Her legacy lives on in the friendships she carried through the years, the messages her loved ones can return to, and the countless ways she made others feel special. Her fiery spirit and loving heart will remain with those who knew her, as will the lasting comfort of knowing how deeply she loved them.

A small memorial service will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Further details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.
