Verna McClam

Verna Jeanette mcclam, 94 years old passed away peacefully at hospice house in Summerville, Wednesday August 26th 2026. Widow of Neron Nevon McClam who passed away December 1999 born. She was born March 22nd 1932 in Mobile Alabama, she was the daughter of the late George Stauter and Lillian Tucker stauter. She was a former member of Riverview Baptist Church in North Charleston, her favorite pastime was fishing, gardening and crossword puzzles she is survived by her three children Brenda Patterson of Manning South Carolina Sandra J Fort of Orangeburg South Carolina and Levon Wayne McClam the husband of Adela R.Hyman of Summerville South Carolina.

Two sisters and one brother of Mobile Alabama 8 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Host of nieces and nephews in Mobile Alabama. Preceded in death by daughter Barbara Jean McClam 2 sisters Eunice and Amelda Morgan and great-granddaughter Amber Diane Chambers. Simplicity lowcountry cremation and burial services, Ladson, South Carolina handled the services memorial service will be held later.
