Wayne Osborne Hinman

Wayne Osborne Hinman, 75 of Summerville SC, Husband of MaryJane LoVine Hinman, Entered eternal rest on Saturday August 8, 2026.

 Wayne was born on April 2, 1951, in Fulton, NY. The son of the late Edwin Osborne Hinman and Elizabeth A. Strickwerda Hinman.

Wayne grew up in Palermo NY where he attended NY public schools. He graduated in 1970 from Mexico High School, He was a member of the FFA and worked on Rice’s Dairy farm in Palermo NY. Wayne drove truck for many years then joined the US ARMY in 1981. Later was honorable discharge for medical reasons. Wayne loved his country and was proud of his service. Wayne and his family moved to Summerville SC in 1981 where he was a welder, and electrician and retired from METRO ELECTRIC in 2017.

Wayne enjoyed hunting with his grandsons and son-in-law. He enjoyed motorcycles, he was a proud member of the GOLDWING association and riding TOYS FOR TOTS. Wayne was predeceased by his brother Bruce E. Hinman.

 Surviving is his wife of 55 years MaryJane LoVine Hinman, Daughter Renee’ (Jamie) Herndon of Reevesville,SC SC, Foster Daughter Monique “Nikki” (Robbie) Wallace of Palermo NY. Grandchildren Edwin Charles (Danyelle) Herndon of Grover SC, Jacob Wayne Herndon of Reevesville,SC, Great Grandchildren, Eli and Dawson Herndon of Grover SC. Sister Valerie Hinman Joiner of Boynton Beach Florida and he had many nieces and nephews. 

A celebration of Wayne's life will be at Simplicity
