Anthony Fiorillo Jr. (12/8/1950-9/22/2026)

Anthony “Tony” Fiorillo, 75, of Hilton Head, SC & Bayville, NY, passed peacefully with his beloved family by his side on September 22nd 2026 in Charleston, SC.

Tony, or “Pop-Pop” as he was called by his grandchildren, was born on December 8th, 1950 in Queens, NY to Anthony Fiorillo Sr. & Lena Fiorillo. He grew up in Mineola, NY where he worked at the local bike store and spent his free time with friends and playing sports. In high school he developed a love for lacrosse that he would eventually pass down to his kids. He didn’t follow the traditional path to college but began a job as a software engineer at New York Telephone commuting to NYC for most of his career and staying with the company through multiple name changes (later becoming Verizon). He worked hard to provide for his family and instilled a true work ethic in all of his kids. He was always on time, or ahead of time.

He was a steadfast Yankees and Giants fan- watching every game and cherishing every win, commiserating in every loss. You could always find him watching 7 pm Jeopardy nightly, and his kids always joking that he never got any of the answers right (but mom always did). He also loved to watch any and all movies- and could always count on him for a review.

A true Italian, he was genuine, unwavering in his love and support for his family and didn’t care what others thought of him. He was truly one of a kind. Generous in so many ways.

Tony met Susan, the true love of his life, at the Mineola pool in 1966. They eventually started dating - he would spend lots of time at her house watching TV with her dad, and winning her heart. They enjoyed traveling, skiing and spending time with friends. Tony and Sue married on January 14th, 1979 and found a home in the small beach town of Bayville, NY. Together they welcomed five children over the years, creating a beautiful life together and making lasting memories as a family. Summer vacations to Hilton Head, him coaching countless sports for his kids, Friday night pizza (Ralph’s to Mario’s to Amalfi) and movie nights, hosting holidays and so much more.

Tony’s dream to retire to his family’s favorite place finally came true when they moved and settled as a retired couple to Hilton Head in 2021. He spent his last few years golfing, beaching, grilling and just relaxing by the pool- his favorite things.

Tony is survived by his wife & best friend of 47 years, Susan. His five children; Michael Fiorillo, Kristin (Michael) Maher, Vanessa (Mike) Boral , Kara Fiorillo & Marc (Heather) Fiorillo. His 9 grandchildren; Jack, Miles, Emersyn, Wesley, Finley, Daisy, Jake, Millie & Bryson. His cherished siblings; Robert Fiorillo & Susan (Michael) Kearney. His loving sister in law Janet (Robert) Porter and countless friends & relatives.

We will keep rooting for the Yanks and Giants in your honor and hitting the golf course to swing for you. You dedicated your life to your family and we are so grateful to have been by your side to the end.

Following the Funeral Mass, family and friends are invited to gather for a remembrance ceremony at the Locust Valley Cemetery Columbarium.
