Lydia Rudd

Lydia Gwendolyn Rudd, 66, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026.

Born on October 23, 1959, Lydia was the beloved daughter of the late William Oliver Grainger and Lydia Lessie Hutson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Rudd, who passed away in 2016.

Lydia's greatest joy was her family and her love for Christ. She leaves behind her three children, Matthew Allen Rudd, Jennifer Ashley Moody, and Erica Robyn Paige. She was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

To know Lydia was to know kindness. She had a gift for making everyone feel at home. She had a way with words, a warm smile, and a listening ear that brought comfort to family, friends, and even strangers. Her home was more than a house—it was a place of laughter and stories.

Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with Charles and those who went before her. May her memory bring comfort to everyone whose life she touched.
